Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia have dismissed reports that Inter banned Aleksandar Kolarov from playing for Serbia, with a report which was broadcast a short time ago.

Kolarov reported for national team duty last week but was not in the best of conditions. Despite this, he tried up until the very last minute to make himself available for the EURO 2020 qualification play-off final versus Scotland but in the end his condition just did not allow him to feature.

Kolarov returned back to Milan and missed last night’s UEFA Nations League clash with Hungary and will not play in their UEFA Nations League clash against Russia on Wednesday night either.

The former Roma defender joined Inter in the most recent Summer transfer window for a nominal fee and it remains to be seen whether or not he will be in good enough condition to feature for Inter against Torino this weekend.
