Genoa are weighing up the possibility of selling Nicolo Rovella in the Summer and securing a loan deal for him for one or two seasons according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Rovella’s contract with Genoa is due to expire at the end of the season but Genoa president Enrico Preziosi confirmed yesterday that the highly rated 18-year-old, who is already part of the Italy under 21 set-up, will sign a contract extension.

Rovella is having his first team breakthrough at Genoa this season and has ended up on the radars of several clubs due to his performances.

The report claims that above all others, there is Inter and their arch rivals Juventus, whilst AC Milan are a little behind in the race for Rovella, who look to be one of the most promising young Italian talents out there right now.

This season he has made five appearances but has not made any goal contributions.
