Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta’s recent comments about Christian Eriksen suggest he knows that the Dane will probably bid farewell to Inter in January according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Prior to yesterday’s 4-2 win at home to Torino, Marotta admitted that the club would not keep players who want to leave the club and confirmed that at this moment no offers have arrived.

Eriksen remained on the bench for the entirety of the match and this was third straight match of Inter’s across all competitions which he remained an unused substitute, a sign that he is becoming more and more separated from Inter.

The 28-year-old arrived at Inter back in the January transfer window and a lot of excitement surrounded his arrival but for a multitude of reasons things just have not worked out for the former Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur star.

This season Eriksen has made seven appearances, in which he has failed to make any goal contributions.
