Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri has ruled out the possibility of his client joining Inter on loan without any fee attached.

The Brazilian born naturalised Italian full back has been linked with Inter for several months with Inter manager Antonio Conte said to want reunited with the former Roma player who he brought to Chelsea in January 2018 when in charge there.

“Emerson Palmieri to Inter on a free loan? Absolutely not. Chelsea wants to monetise his sale. Not having liquidity is a problem,” Fernando Garcia remarked in an interview with Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

Garcia then went on to reveal that there are clubs to have required and admitted there have been no talks regarding how much his client could potentially cost.

“Some teams have already done some enquiries, but not I reveal which ones. How much does he cost? We haven’t talked about it.”

Emerson is under contract with Chelsea through to the end of next season. This season the 26-year-old, who formerly played for Santos and Palermo, has found playing time extremely limited. He has been limited to just seven appearances across all competitions and in 338 minutes on the park he has failed to make any goal contributions.
