Inter are in negotiations with Red Star Belgrade over the sale of youngster Axel Bakayoko according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia journalist and transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

Bakayoko spent the past two seasons on loan at FC St Gallen and since returning to Inter in the Summer he has not featured whatsoever and perhaps as soon as the next few hours there could be an agreement in place between Inter and Red Star Belgrade for him to join them on a permanent basis.

The report from Di Marzio does not specify any details of the negotiations between the two clubs over the 22-year-old, who will get to work under legendary Inter central midfielder Dejan Stankovic in the Serbian capital if a deal does indeed take place.

Bakayoko joined Inter at under 17 level from French side Red Star FC in 2014 and has made just one appearance at first team level in the time since.
