Inter are hoping to have Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez available for next week’s league clash against Hellas Verona, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 32-year-old Chilean forward, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, is suffering from adductor problems that will rule him out from tomorrow’s clash against newly promoted Spezia.

It’s difficult to imagine him making another appearance in 2020, but the Inter medical staff will make one last attempt. At the start of next week, the club will fully evaluate him and see if he’ll be able to join the squad for the clash against the Gialloblu on Wednesday.

Should that fail, Sanchez would then rejoin the squad after the Christmas break.

The 32-year-old Chilean has made 14 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 657 minutes. In that time, he has scored two goals and provided three assists.
