Atalanta talisman Papu Gomez will leave the Bergamo based club in January, with many top clubs including Inter hot on his heels, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 32-year-old Argentine forward has suffered a complete relationship breakdown with coach Gian Piero Gasperini, and has been excluded from today’s matchday squad for the clash against Roma, a key game of the season.

Gomez’s agent will meet with the club after the final game of 2020, la Dea’s meeting with Bologna next Wednesday, to discuss the move away.

AC Milan, Inter, Napoli, Roma and perhaps Paris Saint-Germain, as well as many other foreign clubs, are all keen to sign the 32-year-old Argentine forward, and will fight for his signature.

Atalanta are unlikely to give a discount on the player and it is set to be a top transfer market duel.

Gomez has scored five goals and provided four assists in 16 appearances so far this season.
