Crotone have not given up on their bid to sign Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti on loan in January, according to an Italian media report today.

Reports on Monday night suggested the Calabrese had withdrawn their interest for the 21-year-old after deciding they could not afford to pay for his services, paving the way for Benevento to complete a deal.

But as per Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition, the 20th placed side in Serie A, who have scored just 17 goals this season in as many games, have identified a number of players they could potentially make a move for and Pinamonti remains among them.

Eintracht Frankfurt and Parma are among the other clubs linked with Pinamonti, who nonetheless seems most likely to join Benevento.

Leonardo Mancuso of Serie B side Empoli, Cagliari’s Alberto Cerri and FC Lorient’s Adrian Grbic are all also believed to be players on Crotone’s radar.

Several reports in the media yesterday stated that Inter coach Antonio Conte is currently blocking Pinamonti from departing the club due to not having had assurances over the acquisition of a new fourth choice striker if he were to leave.
