Sebastiano Esposito’s loan from Inter to Venezia is now a done deal, according to a report from a leading Italian journalist.

As per Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia journalist and transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the forward gave his consent to the move yesterday and a transfer has now been finalised.

Esposito, who spent the first half of the 2020-21 season on loan at SPAL, will now spend the second half of the season working under Paolo Zanetti at the Venice-based club in Serie B.

The highly-rated Italian youngster found himself frozen out at the end of his loan spell with SPAL, with him not appearing in any of their last six matches.

He made 13 appearances during the duration of his loan spell with SPAL, scoring one goal and it is hoped that he will get more game time at Venezia, who he reportedly chose to move to for tactical reasons.

Esposito was also linked with Ascoli, Brescia, Chievo Verona, Cittadella, Cremonese, Pescara and Reggina in the January transfer window, but the Lagunari have won the race for the 18-year-old.
