If Christian Eriksen leaves Inter before the transfer window shuts it will be for a club in the Premier League, according to an Italian media report today.

As per Tuttosport’s print edition, Arsenal are Eriksen’s most likely next destination if he is to leave and the two clubs could potentially set up a swap deal that would involve Lucas Torreira as well.

Arsenal are more likely than Leicester City given the Foxes took a step back in their pursuit upon learning of the 28-year-old Denmark international’s wages.

Should Eriksen go on to leave Inter, he may not even be replaced, the Turin-based news outlet warn.

Inter need a deputy to Marcelo Brozovic and a new striker, but the fact Andrea Pinamonti was taken off of the transfer market just goes to show Inter owners Suning’s intentions with regard to the acquisition of new players to bolster coach Antonio Conte’s side.
