Former Inter President Massimo Moratti Advising Italian Businessmen Over Buying Nerazzurri, Report Claims

Inter’s former presidents Massimo Moratti and Ernesto Pellegrini are advising local businessmen over potentially investing into the club, according to an Italian media report today.

Several international funds have been linked with buying Inter from Suning, but a report yesterday claimed a wealthy Italian entrepreneur was taking a close look at Inter’s situation too.

As per Il Giorno, sources in Milan have revealed Moratti and Pellegrini are acting as consultants for unidentified entrepreneurs in Italy ahead of possibly looking to get involved with the Nerazzurri.

Moratti does not have any intention of getting involved in football again but is thought to be keen on Inter returning to Italian hands, after four and a half years under Suning’s ownership.

The Chinese retail giant has been at the helm of Inter since 2016, but Chinese government restrictions regarding the exporting of capital has complicated matters for them and left Inter with a lack of liquidity.
