Inter do not have an agreement in place with Standard Liege for Zinho Vanheusden to return to the Nerazzurri this summer, according to an Italian media report today.

Standard Liege chief executive Aleaxandre Grosjean recently appeared to confirm that Vanheusden was set to return to Inter, regardless of whether the Belgian club was sold to new owners.

However, PassioneInter.com have since reached out to the Jupiler Pro League club’s president and he was quick to deny the existence of any such agreement with Inter.

Inter remain strongly interested in bringing their academy graduate back to San Siro and the player himself recently shared his desire to return too.

Vanheusden, who has shown himself to be up to certain levels having played in Europe and with Belgium, could return to Inter and rejuvenate the defence, in which Andrea Ranocchia’s future still needs to be decided.

This season Vanheusden, who is captain of Standard Liege, has made 13 appearances, in which he has failed to make any goal contributions in.
