Christian Eriksen is becoming increasingly compatible with Inter’s style of play, according to an Italian broadcaster’s report tonight.
The Danish midfielder is enjoying an unexpected second wind under Antonio Conte, having been close to joining Tottenham Hotspur or Leicester City on loan in January.
As per Sky Sport Italia, Eriksen is now dictating play for the Nerazzurri, as well as offering a solid contribution when Inter are defending.
He is also acting as an alternative play-maker when Marcelo Brozovic is man-marked by opponents.
Sky’s Matteo Barzaghi said it remained unclear whether it would be Eriksen or Arturo Vidal to complete Inter’s midfield against AC Milan on Sunday.
It could come down to who is in the better physical condition, considering both players have stepped up and scored in big games this season.
Eriksen is reportedly reaping the benefits now of having learned Italian, which is helping him understand Conte’s instructions better in training.
A report from Gazzetta dello Sport earlier tonight said Eriksen had won over the Inter boss by speeding up his passes and adding more intensity to his game.
