Ivan Perisic was key to Inter’s victory over AC Milan in the Milan derby yesterday, according to an Italian media report.

The Croatian was involved in both of the Nerazzurri’s first two goals at San Siro and produced another exceptional display in the left wing-back position.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition awarded Perisic a rating of 7.5/10 for his performance at San Siro.

“His performance was total,” they argued.

“Defence, counterattack, attack, final balls, shots on goal, he did it all.

“Perisic looks ever more comfortable in his new role.”

Lautaro Martinez took the highest score of everyone in the Derby della Madonnina, with a ‘decisive’ performance earning El Toro 8/10.

Romelu Lukaku and Samir Handanovic joined Perisic on 7.5/10, with five players – Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Achraf Hakimi, Marcelo Brozovic and Nicolo Barella – all receiving 7/10 for their efforts.

Christian Eriksen was given 6.5/10 after another impressive showing against the Rossoneri, while Alessandro Bastoni took the lowest score at 6/10.

Antonio Conte got 7/10 after overseeing a terrific team performance which took Inter four points clear at the top of Serie A.

“He has the team under control and you can see it,” the newspaper concluded.
