Romelu Lukaku sent a devastating message to Zlatan Ibrahimovic during Inter’s derby triumph yesterday, according to an Italian media report.

Antonio Conte’s side stormed four points clear at the top of Serie A with a 3-0 win, which saw Lukaku score against AC Milan for the fifth time in five games since joining the Nerazzurri.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition today dwelled upon the Belgian’s celebration after scoring Inter’s third, when Lukaku shouted: ‘I’m the f***ing best, I told you!’

“It was a message shouted at the entire world but in particular Ibrahimovic, after their row in the Coppa Italia,” They argued.

Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, who scored Inter’s first two at San Siro, are Inter’s most prolific strike partnership at this stage of a league season in more than 60 years.

Only four pairings have fared better in the club’s history, the Milan-based paper reported, with Antoni Valentin Angelillo and Eddie Firmani being the most recent way back in the 1958-59 season.

Lautaro also received praise for his ‘perfect’ performance, with Gazzetta arguing he proved his importance to Conte with a man-of-the-match display.
