Inter and Juventus have joined the race to sign Manchester City’s prolific forward Sergio Aguero, according to a British media report.

As per The Sun, both clubs have joined Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in being interested in the Argentine striker, whose contract with the Premier League leaders is due to expire at the end of this season.

Aguero’s representatives have already held talks with both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid with doubts remaining over his future at City.

City have not held talks with the player over a new deal with the club and are reluctant to discuss fresh terms until he has proven he has fully overcome contracting COVID-19 and a knee problem.

The report goes on to explain that Aguero’s preferred option would be to remain with City, who he has scored 256 goals for in 379 games across all competitions.

Despite this being his preference, he is still nevertheless weighing up all his options, although his €13 million annual salary could price Inter out of a deal anyway.
