Inter coach Antonio Conte cannot imagine his side without Marcelo Brozovic in midfield, according to an Italian media report today.

Brozovic has underlined his importance to the Nerazzurri with excellent performances against Lazio and AC Milan, despite having been on the list of potential departures last summer.

As per FCInterNews.it, the Croatian has established himself as a point of reference in the team, so much so that Conte would not even consider letting him leave now.

As well as being a quality midfielder, the report has labelled Brozovic a fighter and an atypical playmaker considering all the running he does, pointing out the extraordinary distances he covers in games each week.

Brozovic has no equal in Serie A, having the brain of a playmaker but the heart of a midfielder and he is ultimately irreplaceable in the Nerazzurri’s midfield.

The 28-year-old has made 29 appearances across all competitions this season, in which he has scored one goal and provided seven assists.
