Inter’s defensive wall will remain intact for next season, according to an Italian media report today.

PassioneInter.com claimed Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni were 99.99% certain of being Inter’s starting centre-backs under Antonio Conte for the 2021-22 campaign, having impressed so much in recent months.

The only reason it is not 100% is because it is possible that mind-boggling offers could be made, and if such offers were to arrive Inter would consider them and decide what to do.

The Nerazzurri have no plans to let any of them leave, though, with Conte’s side sitting pretty at the top of Serie A after conceding only once in their last six league games.

Skriniar is back performing at a high level, De Vrij is regarded as irreplaceable while Bastoni will soon be handed a new and improved contract.

When it comes to other defenders, Danilo D’Ambrosio will stay and he too will be given a new deal, but there is a chance that Andrea Ranocchia could leave in the summer with his contract set to expire.

Aleksandar Kolarov could also leave the Nerazzurri, with Inter unlikely to exercise the automatic renewal option in the Serbian’s one-year deal.

Achraf Hakimi is certain to stay, meanwhile, while Inter’s other wing-back Matteo Darmian will probably stay too having proved useful to Conte.
