Stefano Sensi remains in doubt ahead of Inter’s match against Genoa on Sunday, a report in the Italian media claimed today.

Tuttosport’s print edition said the midfielder had increased his intensity in training as he recovers from muscular fatigue.

But Sensi is still not guaranteed to be fit for this weekend’s game at home to the Rossoblu, with Inter reluctant to rush him back.

The 25-year-old followed a personalised training program yesterday and it is now up to Antonio Conte’s staff to decide whether to further up the tempo in training or opt for more caution.

Inter are due to play three games in quick succession in Serie A, which would suggest Conte will be forced to rotate his squad to keep everyone fresh.

The Nerazzurri will play Genoa on Sunday before taking on Parma away from home on Thursday night and then playing host to Atalanta the following Monday.

Sensi has not featured for Inter in Serie A since his substitute appearance in the 4-0 win against Benevento on January 30.

He did play 25 minutes against Juventus in the Coppa Italia semi-finals two weeks ago, though.
