No players have tested positive in the latest round of testing for COVID-19 according to noted Italian journalist Matteo Barzaghi.

Earlier on this week chief executives Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and Alessandro Antonello tested positive for the virus as did sporting director Piero Ausilio, the club’s lawyer and an unnamed membe of the technical staff.

Inter players were lasted tested yesterday ahead of this afternoon’s clash with Genoa and Barzaghi has confirmed via social media platform Twitter that no Inter players have returned positive results.

This news is bound to allow Inter coach Antonio Conte to breathe a sigh of relief with him not having to do without any more players other than the injured Stefano Sensi and suspended Achraf Hakimi.

Earlier on this season Inter were heavily impacted by COVID-19 infections with the likes of Milan Skriniar, Alessandro Bastoni and Marcelo Brozovic all being positive at one stage.

Fortunately Inter have not had to deal with having a COVID positive player for several months now.

Barzaghi posted: “Inter players’ test results: all negative.”
