Inter are the favourites to go all the way and win the Serie A title this season according to Genoa coach Davide Ballardini after Inter comfortably got past his side 3-0 earlier on today.

Romelu Lukaku got Inter off to the best possible start at San Siro scoring after just 32 seconds and the Nerazzurri’s lead was doubled with little over 20 minutes to spare when Matteo Darmian scored.

Alexis Sanchez rounded off the scoring Inter soon after coming off of the substitutes bench.

“Inter are the favourites because they have no other commitments.

“All the attention, with the great players they have, is on the Scudetto, which other clubs cannot afford,” he told Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, after the game this afternoon.

Ballardini, who has really turned things around for Genoa since returning to the club recently, also sang the praises of Lukaku, who caused his side all sorts of problems during the match.

“He is a leader in every sense of the word. He is an extraordinary guy and on the pitch he is an example to follow and he has extraordinary qualities.

“He makes a lot of difference.”

After his goal in this game, 27-year-old Belgian national team player Lukaku now has 24 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions this term.
