Antonio Conte will be counting on Chilean duo Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez to help Inter win the Serie A title, according to a report in the Italian media.
Tuttosport’s print edition pointed out today that Vidal and Sanchez are the most successful players in the Nerazzurri’s squad, having won a combined 40 trophies during their careers, including two Copa America titles with Chile.
Neither player is starting for Conte at present, but the report argued both will get the chance to leave their mark on Inter’s Scudetto run-in as they have the attitude of ‘serial winners’.
Vidal and Sanchez are likely to remain on the bench for Thursday’s trip to Parma, however, with Conte reportedly planning to name an unchanged XI with the exception of Achraf Hakimi as he returns from suspension.
Vidal has scored two goals and provided two assists in 28 appearances this season, while Sanchez has three goals and six assists in 25 appearances.
The former Manchester United forward scored his first goal in three months on Sunday, wrapping up a 3-0 win for Inter at home to Genoa.
