Legendary Inter midfielder Lothar Matthuas has taken to Instagram to celebrate his former side being top of the Serie A table.
The Nerazzurri have been top for two weeks and now boast a four-point lead over AC Milan, which was consolidated with Sunday’s 3-0 win over Genoa.
Romelu Lukaku, Matteo Darmian and Alexis Sanchez all scored to secure a 14th win in 17 league games for Antonio Conte’s side.
Matthaus, who played for Inter between 1988 and 1992 and won one Serie A title in his time with the club, posted a screen grab of the Serie A table along with one word: “Top.”
