Christian Eriksen has become the ‘prince’ of Inter’s midfield, an Italian media report has argued today.

As per Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition, Eriksen has completely turned his Inter career around after spending a long time searching for his true self with the Nerazzurri.

The 29-year-old is now a guaranteed starter in Antonio Conte’s line-up and has gone from being certain to leave to being nowhere near Inter’s transfer departure list.

“Conte used tough love with Eriksen and his strategy has paid off,” the Milan-based paper wrote.

The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is just over a year into his spell at Inter and since the end of January, things have been a lot brighter for the Dane than they were beforehand.

Eriksen, who is under contract with the club through to the 2023-24 season, has made 21 appearances across all competitions and scored once, which came in Inter’s dramatic win against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.

He is expected to retain his spot in midfield for tomorrow’s Serie A match at Parma.
