Inter must pay Real Madrid an instalment of the transfer fee of Achraf Hakimi by the end of this month, according to an Italian media report today.

As per La Repubblica, the Nerazzurri have to pay Los Blancos a sum of €10 million for the Moroccan wing-back, who was signed in a €40 million plus add-ons deal last summer, in order to respect UEFA deadlines when it comes to paying transfer fees.

The instalment was previously due months ago with reports emerging in January that Inter had failed to pay and that Real Madrid were angry.

The La Liga giants quickly came out and clarified things in a statement however, confirming relations between the clubs were still good.

Hakimi has starred during his first campaign with Inter, having appeared in 31 appearances across all competitions.

The 22-year-old has scored six goals and provided six assists for Antonio Conte’s side and will be back in the team for tomorrow’s Serie A match at Parma.
