Inter have proposed a swap deal to Real Betis involving Arturo Vidal and William Carvalho, according to a Spanish media report today.

As per La Razon, Inter have offered the former Barcelona player to Real Betis and are seeking Portuguese midfielder Carvalho in return.

While Carvalho earns a significantly lower salary than Vidal, he does have a much greater value with the 28-year-old thought to be worth €20 million.

Inter already explored a deal for Carvalho a few months ago with Antonio Conte looking to increase the physicality in the Nerazzurri’s midfield.

Vidal is under contract with Inter until the end of next season and this is not the first time that he has been linked with a departure from the club in recent weeks.

The Chilean international, who joined the club this past summer, has been linked with potential moves to Marseille and Flamengo.

Vidal, who underwent knee surgery this morning and could be out for up to a month, has made 30 appearances across all competitions for Inter this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
