Napoli are ready to make their move to sign Inter loanee Federico Dimarco, according to a report in the Spanish media.

TodoFichajes have revealed the Partenopei recently made contact with the 23-year-old, who is enjoying an excellent season on loan at Hellas Verona.

The Gialloblu signed Dimarco on a season-long loan from Inter last summer and have an option to make the deal permanent for €7 million in June.

However, Dimarco does not want to miss out on the opportunity to play for one of Serie A’s biggest clubs, meaning his future remains uncertain.

Napoli are seeking the former Italy under-21 full-back as a transfer priority for this summer, offering Dimarco a four-year deal and a hefty pay rise.

They will need to make their move before the end of this season if they are to have success, because Hellas Verona have the right to sign Dimarco permanently at the end of the campaign.

Dimarco is reportedly Inter’s preferred choice to replace Ashley Young at left wing-back for next season, with the Nerazzurri potentially able to re-sign their academy player thanks to a gentleman’s agreement with the Gialloblu.

He has made 27 appearances in all competitions for Ivan Juric’s side this season, scoring four goals and providing five assists.
