Inter coach Antonio Conte has rewarded his squad with two days off from training this weekend as they prepare to welcome a host of players back through the week.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, Conte has informed the players that they will be required to return to the club’s Appiano Gentile training ground on Monday, allowing them the weekend off.
It comes after a double session was held yesterday, followed by a series of COVID-19 tests that have all returned negative.
Inter, meanwhile, are expecting the return of all players currently on international duty to return on Wednesday, ahead of a Serie A match against Bologna on Saturday.
Romelu Lukaku, Marcelo Brozovic, Ivan Perisic, Milan Skriniar and Achraf Hakimi will all return by then, and will be able to take part in training on Thursday subject to a negative COVID-19 test.
Inter take on Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara looking to extend their six point lead at the top of the Serie A table.
