Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic has recovered from COVID-19 after testing negative for the coronavirus in the latest round of swabs.
The captain contracted the virus in the week following Inter’s 2-1 Serie A win over Torino on 14 March, alongside teammates Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefan De Vrij and Matias Vecino.
As reported by FCInterNews.it, Handanovic returned a negative test this weekend and has been given the all-clear to return to training with the rest of the squad, making him available for Saturday’s league clash against Bologna.
However, the other three players continue to test positive for the virus and will undergo further swabs, as coach Antonio Conte looks to be able to call upon the trio for the trip to the Stadio Renato Dall’ara.
Slovenia international Handanovic has featured in all of Inter’s Serie A matches this season, with the outbreak of COVID-19 amongst the Nerazzurri earlier this month leading to the postponement of a fixture against Sassuolo.
