Inter are ready to make an approach for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero this summer, with the Argentina international out of contract at the Etihad Stadium.
Aguero has struggled for playing time this season and has yet to renew his contract with the Premier League leaders, leaving him open to moving on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of the Daily Star, Inter have opened negotiations with Aguero and have already made progress in their efforts to bring him to Serie A.
Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri are determined to fight off interest in their current first choice strike partnership of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.
The former has attracted attention from Manchester City and former club Chelsea, as well as Spanish duo Barcelona and Real Madrid, whilst Barca had previously shown interest in Martinez.
Inter have no desire to sell either striker, but would consider softening their stance should they receive an exceptional offer and also bring Aguero in.
