Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan is entirely focused on helping Cagliari avoid relegation from Serie A after joining the club on loan, but his longer term future is in doubt.
The Belgium international has endured a difficult spell at Inter since arriving from Roma in 2018 and has spent last season on loan at former club Cagliari, before returning to the Isolani again in January.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Nainggolan is frustrated at Cagliari’s poor showing in Serie A this season, as they languish in 18th place, but is determined to help the Sardinians avoid the drop.
Whilst he is protected by an additional year on his contract at Inter, the 32-year-old is focused solely on Cagliari at the moment.
However, his future beyond the end of the season is in doubt, with a breakdown in relationships between senior figures at Inter and Nainggolan thought to make any return to the first team at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza difficult.
Nainggolan has made 41 appearances for Inter, scoring seven goals.
