Inter are preparing to have contract talks with Romelu Lukaku before the end of this year, according to a report in the UK today.

As per the Daily Mail, four European heavyweights have been linked with a move for the Belgian in recent weeks: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City and Chelsea.

Lukaku has no desire to leave Inter providing Antonio Conte remains in charge of the Nerazzurri, and Inter have rejected all interest in their star striker so far.

On that note, Inter are preparing to offer the 27-year-old an extension to his current deal (which expires in 2024) and an increase to his salary.

Lukaku’s strong relationship with Conte is said to be ‘a key reason’ why he wants to stay at Inter, for whom he has scored 25 goals in all competitions this season.

He has scored 19 league goals and provided seven assists for Inter this season, who sit six points clear of AC Milan at the top of the table (with a game in hand).
