Roma are stepping up their bid to sign rumoured Inter target Juan Musso from Udinese, according to a report in the Spanish media.

Inter were again linked with the Argentine goalkeeper as a long-term replacement for Samir Handanovic in today’s Italian papers – but Udinese’s asking price might be a stumbling block for a deal.

TodoFichajes.net have now said Roma could offer out-of-favour forward Carles Perez to Udinese as part of their deal to sign Musso.

The Giallorossi are also encountering trouble with Udinese’s price tag for the 26-year-old, but this would be their way of lowering the Bianconeri’s economic demands.

Perez has struggled for game time in Rome this season and his departure would be seen as beneficial for both him and Roma, the report suggested.

Udinese do not plan to accept part-exchange offers for Musso but everything could depend on the fee Roma offer alongside Perez.

Musso has made 27 appearances in all competitions for Luca Gotti’s side this season, keeping eight clean sheets (including one against Inter during a goalless draw in January).
