Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are very keen on making one particular signing for Inter this summer, according to a leading Italian journalist.

Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso is being persistently linked with a move as the Nerazzurri seek a long-term replacement for Samir Handanovic.

Libero columnist and Inter supporter Fabrizio Biasin attempted to explain those rumours today as he spoke to Calciomercato.it (via FcInter1908.it).

“I think Inter could go ahead with Handanovic for at least another season,” Biasin said.

“As far as the future is concerned, Musso is a player they like along with Alessio Cragno at Cagliari.

“Ausilio in particular has a soft spot for Musso, but so does Marotta.”

Inter are expected to move for a goalkeeper in the summer but they are also monitoring the potential options in terms of centre-backs.

Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed the Nerazzurri are keen on Napoli’s Nikola Maksimovic, who will be available on a free transfer from June.

On the possibility of signing the Serbian defender at the end of the season, Biasin added: “Maksimovic is definitely a good opportunity on the market.

“Inter have an excellent group of defenders but they’ll need to bolster it.

“The first thing I’d say though is that we’re only talking about it because there’s an international break.”

Maksimovic has made 26 appearances in all competitions for Napoli this season, failing to provide any goals or assists for Gennaro Gattuso’s side.
