Stefano Sensi is ready to provide a decisive contribution to Inter in their Serie A title run-in, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Sensi came off the bench at half-time during Italy’s FIFA World Cup qualifier in Lithuania and scored the opening goal within two minutes.

Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition suggested the midfielder could become ‘very useful’ for Antonio Conte as Inter bid to win the Scudetto.

Sensi has not started for the Nerazzurri in any competition since he was named in the XI to face Benevento back on September 30.

Italy boss Roberto Mancini has helped Sensi regain form and confidence over the international break, the report explained.

Mancini has always believed in Sensi’s ability and seen him as perfectly compatible with his style of football.

Sensi started Italy’s previous match in Bulgaria after being protected and encouraged by Mancini, and the hope is that now he can replicate his positive international form for Inter.

Conte’s side are back in action on Saturday when they visit Bologna on matchday 29.
