Inter have been forced to freeze their summer transfer plans until the ownership situation at the club has been resolved, with financial uncertainty hampering their approach.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri are currently ‘paralysed’ by mounting debts and concern over the financial situation, with owners Suning still working to bring investment in to resolve the issue before the end of the season.

Until this has been completed, Inter are unable to commit to any transfers and director Piero Ausilio, alongside assistant Dario Baccin, have been forced to delay plans.

The pair have received approaches from numerous agents offering players, including many available on a free transfer at the end of the season, but have informed representatives that all incoming transfers are on hold until a clearer picture is established.

Much of the planning will be dependent on what kind of budget can be mustered and Inter are looking at releasing defenders Andrea Ranocchia and Aleksandar Kolarov this summer. Napoli centre-back Nikola Maksimovic has been lined up as a replacement when his contract expires at the end of the campaign.
