Inter’s Italian central defender believes that this group of Nerazzurri players are very resilient when speaking to an Italian broadcaster.

The former Genoa and Sampdoria defender was speaking to Inter TV immediately after the final whistle against Bologna away at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara where the Nerazzurri recorded their 9th straight win in the Serie A.

“It was fundamental to win given the results of the other teams, and we managed to do so. We have suffered a lot together when we needed to.

“The important thing was the three points. We are happy and now we think about Sassuolo.

“We have done what we have always done, working a lot with our heads down. Whoever plays is always ready to do so, the group is doing well, healthy and strong and wants to achieve our goal, which we all know.

“This is a very resilient team. It is a team that gives a lot, in training as well as in the dressing room. We are all present and feel important, this is fundamental to arrive at the finish line.

“To be part of this Inter is to be part of a family, I have been part of many teams but to be part of this group is an honor.

“I am very happy here with the players and the staff, I am very happy to be a part of this team. I want to wish all Inter fans a very Happy Easter.”

The Nerazzurri defeated Bologna thanks to a goal midway through the first half by Romelu Lukaku, who scored his 20th Serie A goal of the season.

That proved to be the only goal on the day and was good enough to record Inter’s 9th consecutive win in the Serie A to go 8 points clear of city rivals AC Milan with one game in hand.

Inter will host Sassuolo in the Serie A this coming Wednesday the 7th of April 2021 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan’s San Siro district with kick-off scheduled for 20.45 CET.
