Inter wing-back Achraf Hakimi has emerged as a transfer target for Premier League club Arsenal, whilst former club Real Madrid may also look to swoop for him.

The Morocco international joined the Nerazzurri from Real Madrid last summer in a €40 million deal and has caught the eye in his maiden season in Serie A, with his performances at right wing-back helping Inter go eight points clear at the top of the table.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Spanish news outlet AS, Hakimi has been sounded out by Arsenal for a transfer, with the Gunners set to offload Hector Bellerin this summer.

The Premier League club have already made enquiries about Hakimi and Inter are ready to hold out for €50m before considering letting the 22-year-old go.

Hakimi’s future could yet be back at Real Madrid however, with the Spanish champions holding a right of refusal on him as part of their sale to Inter, and may consider a return for him.
