Inter coach Antonio Conte believes the Nerazzurri have grown as a team in every aspect possible he told reporters in the official post match press conference.

The former Chelsea and Juventus coach spoke to the gathered media online with his words being reported by FcInterNews, immediately after the final whistle against Bologna away at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara where the Nerazzurri recorded their 9th straight win in the Serie A.

“I think that in order to win you have to have stability and continuity of results. Also there has to be some kind of knowledge that makes you confident.

“I think this team has grown in every kind of aspect after almost two years. We have tried different kind of solutions and at the end I think we have found the right kind of balance that is starting to give us results.

“All the credit should go to the players, to everyone. For example, look at Ranocchia and Young, both of them demonstrating a great deal of professionalism  and seriousness when playing.

“As well as the staff, taking care of all the players, playing or non-playing. We have to continue on this path, remembering that we haven’t achieved anything yet, there are still 30 points to play, which are a lot.

“I don’t think so [that Inter are their own biggest rivals now for the title], because if we were our own opponents we would win everything.

“If we would to play ourselves we would agree [laughs]. We are doing great things, which leads us to state certain things.

“But we have to stop listening to the rest of the world and stay focused on our objectives which would be great for us, given that Inter hasn’t won for many years.

“For sure, we have worked a lot with this group, addressing a lot of aspects, getting this group to grow almost exponentially.

“We have gained a lot of respect from the other teams. They know that they have to take Inter into account whenever they speak about the league.

“Then of course this kind of respect is more prestigious with the final of the Europa League last year and the second place in the championship. This means we are doing something right  and that we hope to continue on this path.”

“Ivan Perisic had a muscular fatigue, nothing special. Since I have such a confidence for the team and the roster, there is no need for risks.

“We have Darmian, Young, Hakimi and now D’Ambrosio has returned. With that being said, Kolarov had a back problem and of course we want him back as soon as possible.”

The Nerazzurri defeated Bologna thanks to a goal midway through the first half by Romelu Lukaku, who scored his 20th Serie A goal of the season.

That proved to be the only goal on the day and was good enough to record Inter’s 9th consecutive win in the Serie A to go 8 points clear of city rivals AC Milan with one game in hand.

Inter will host Sassuolo in the Serie A this coming Wednesday the 7th of April 2021 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan’s San Siro district with kick-off scheduled for 20.45 CET.
