After netting the only goal of the game, Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has drawn praise for his performance in the Nerazzurri’s win over Bologna in Serie A yesterday.

The Belgium international struck his 20th league goal of the season at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara after bundling in midway through the first half, as Antonio Conte’s side moved eight points clear at the top of Serie A with a game in hand.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lukaku was the standout performer and was praised for his all-round play in addition to his goal, earning a 7 in the newspaper’s player ratings.

Elsewhere, Alessandro Bastoni earned the same mark for his decisive cross to set up Lukaku, having swung in a wonderful delivery to allow the striker to break the deadlock.

Forwards Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez were the next highest rated players, on 6.5 each, whilst only Milan Skriniar, Nicolo Barella (both 5.5) and Achraf Hakimi (5) came in under 6.

Nerazzurri coach Conte was awarded a 6.5 for his work from the bench, as Inter earned a ninth consecutive league win.
