Inter striker Romelu Lukaku continued his fine form this season as he netted the only goal in last night’s 1-0 win over Bologna in Serie A, and it was a strike of significance for multiple reasons.

The former Manchester United striker’s effort was his 20th league goal of the campaign, for the second consecutive season, as Inter opened up an eight point gap at the top of the table.

Meanwhile, as reported by FCInterNews.it, Lukaku’s goal saw him overtake former Nerazzurri star Ronaldo in the scoring charts for the club, meaning he has more goals and assists for Inter than the Brazilian.

Lukaku had already been leading Ronaldo for assists by one after laying on 13 goals for teammates, but he has now moved ahead of him for goals too.

The Belgium international netted his 60th goal for the club against Bologna, overtaking Ronaldo on 59, whilst also enjoying a superior strike rate.

Indeed, Lukaku’s 60 goals and 13 assists have come in just 86 games, whilst Ronaldo scored 59 times and laid on 12 assists in 99 appearances from 1997 to 2002.
