Inter have yet to decide whether they will move to sign Napoli defender Nikola Maksimovic, according to a report in the Italian media.

The Nerazzurri are likely to be on the hunt for one or more centre-backs in the summer, with Andrea Ranocchia and Aleksandar Kolarov both expected to leave the club.

Maksimovic was linked with a move to Inter last week, with the Serbian out of contract at Napoli at the end of this season.

As per Calciomercato.com, the 29-year-old has told Inter he wants an annual salary of €2 million if he is to join the club on a free transfer.

Inter are reflecting after Maksimovic’s request and assessing their options, with no further details offered in this report.

Maksimovic has made 27 appearances in all competitions for Napoli this season, playing the full 90 minutes on Saturday as Gennaro Gattuso’s side recorded a 4-3 win at home to rock-bottom Crotone in Serie A.
