Marcelo Brozovic has ended a long-standing partnership with his agent and is ready to handle the renewal of his contract with Inter alone.

The Croatia international had been represented by Miroslav Bicanic for the past 10 years but, as reported by FCInterNews.it, he has terminated that agreement with a view to negotiating a new contract with Inter himself.

Brozovic is out of contract at Inter next summer and formal renewal talks are expected to begin at the end of the season, with a €60 million release clause for foreign clubs set to be removed.

Meanwhile, the new contract will run until the summer of 2024 and Brozovic will demand a wage rise on his existing €3.5m per year deal, to €4.5m in line with other senior players at Inter.

Preliminary talks began some weeks ago when Brozovic decided to drop Bicanic in early March, but with regulations requiring a 28-day period after changing agents, the 28-year-old has only just been able to step up discussions.

Brozovic will handle negotiations himself but will be supported by his father and a trusted lawyer to oversee the finer details in any contract.
