Inter President Steven Zhang is keen to travel to Italy as soon as possible to be able to join in the celebrations should the club win the Scudetto this season.

Antonio Conte’s side have opened up an 11 point lead at the top of the table with just nine games remaining, as they close in on a first Serie A title since 2010.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Zhang wants to be amongst the squad at the moment the Scudetto is sealed and has already begun making plans to return to Milan, particularly as he would face a 14 day quarantine period upon arrival from China.

Meanwhile, Zhang’s arrival is likely to bring updates on the financial front at Inter, with owners Suning securing a loan to cover operating costs until the end of the season and ease concerns.

Similarly, efforts will be made to sell the 31% stake in the club owned by LionRock, a close partner of Suning based in Hong Kong, to an American investor and bring further capital in.
