Inter President Steven Zhang is putting plans in place to return to Milan in the coming weeks and will confirm Suning’s intentions to retain ownership of the club.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Zhang is keen to join Inter’s players in celebrating a Scudetto success in person, with Antonio Conte’s side currently 11 points clear at the top of the table.

Zhang’s other matters of business include meeting Conte and CEO Beppe Marotta to indicate his intention to remain the majority stakeholder at the club, as talks over investment continues, and calculate budgets for next season.

The face-to-face meeting planned will also allow for an opportunity for Inter to determine transfer targets, with Conte hoping to strengthen three key positions.

An alternative to Ivan Perisic at left wing-back is a priority, whilst a goalscoring midfielder and a back-up to striker Romelu Lukaku will also be targeted.

Meanwhile, Inter will consider another centre-back although interest in Napoli’s out-of-contract Nikola Maksimovic has cooled.
