Ahead of their Serie A match against Cagliari tomorrow morning, Inter have reported no new positive cases for COVID-19.

The Nerazzurri were hit by a coronavirus outbreak last month that saw four players test positive and a match against Sassuolo postponed, with Danilo D’Ambrosio, Samir Handanovic, Stefan De Vrij and Matias Vecino all contracting the virus.

However, as reported by FCInter1908.it, tests carried out ahead of the match against Cagliari at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza confirmed that all players and staff tested negative.

There had been a fear of another outbreak after numerous Italian internationals contracted the virus over the past week, and assistant coach Daniele De Rossi hospitalised in recent days, but Inter have been given a clean bill of health.

Inter welcome the Sardinian club hoping to extend their 11 point lead at the top of Serie A, as Antonio Conte’s side look to secure a first Scudetto since 2010.
