Juventus have stepped up their interest in Paris Saint-Germain striker Mauro Icardi and could offer Paulo Dybala in exchange, in a move that would benefit Inter.

Former Nerazzurri captain Icardi joined PSG in a €50 million deal last summer after spending last season on loan, having fallen out of favour at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are in the market for a new striker and have identified Argentina international Icardi, with a deal possible should they send compatriot Dybala to Ligue 1.

Dybala is out of contract next summer and has endured a troubled relationship with the Bianconeri hierarchy this season, prompting suggestions that an exchange could be possible, particularly as Juventus have already opened up dialogue with Icardi’s wife and agent, Wanda Nara.

Should a deal be struck, Inter would also benefit financially due to an agreement entitling them to a payment in the event that PSG sell Icardi to another Italian team.
