Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is expected to begin discussions over a new contract with the Nerazzurri over the coming weeks.

As reported by L’Interista.it, the Croatia international is set to meet with representatives from the club by the end of this month to open up talks over a new deal.

The 28-year-old only has a single season remaining on his existing contract and Inter are keen to tie him down to a longer deal to ward off interest from elsewhere.

Brozovic recently dispensed with the services of his long-term agent and will be represented by his father Ivan in negotiations, with a key focus being on removing a €60 million release clause valid to foreign clubs between 1 and 15 July.

Since joining from Dinamo Zagreb in January 2015, Brozovic has made 235 appearances for Inter and scored 23 goals.

The former Lokomotiva midfielder has represented on 57 occasions and featured in the 2018 World Cup Final defeat against France.
