Former Juventus left-back Antonio Cabrini believes that Inter have all-but secured the Serie A title already this season.

The Nerazzurri went into the weekend’s fixtures with an 11-point advantage at the top of the table with just eight games remaining, leaving them only 13 points shy of the Scudetto.

In an interview published in yesterday’s newspaper edition of Il Giorno, Cabrini reflected on the race to to secure Champions League qualification in Serie A this season.

“In my opinion, Milan, for their exceptional year they’ve had will qualify,” Cabrini declared.

“Atalanta have also confirmed it for themselves and I also hope Juventus will get there. I take it for granted that Inter will win the Scudetto,” the 63-year-old added.

Inter face Napoli at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Serie A this evening as they look to extend their winning run in the league to 12 matches.

Cabrini joined Juventus from Atalanta in 1976 and scored 33 goals in 297 appearances before moving to Bologna in 1989. The 1982 World Cup winner went on to lift the Serie A title six times, as well as the European Cup in 1985.
