Inter coach Antonio Conte has managed to change the perception of him amongst Nerazzurri fans since the turn of the year, just months after there were calls for him to be dismissed.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere della Sera, the former Juventus coach has managed to convince a sceptical audience of his capabilities to lead Inter, with the club 11-points clear at the top of Serie A and on the verge of winning the Scudetto for the first time since 2010.

Suggestions that Conte ought to be relieved of his duties were heard as Inter were sent crashing out of the Champions League at the Group Stage in December, finishing bottom of their group.

However, their imperious league form since Christmas has seen them pull clear in Serie A and the newspaper pointed to the gap at the top of the table as proof of the success in Conte’s methods, whilst also claiming that he has changed the perception of himself amongst many supporters.

This evening’s match against Napoli is seen as the first step towards sealing the title, with Inter looking to extend their winning run to 12 games.
